Wedding in Pink and Gold At Star Hill Ranch
Torey and Craig chose to celebrate their very special day in a classic, home-spun southern fashion surrounded by a collection of artfully restored old-world buildings from around Texas. Star Hill Ranch provided a dreamy rustic ambiance for this couple to both exchange their vows as well as kick back and party with all of their closest friends and family.

Torey looked young and fresh in a romantic, cascading lace wedding dress from Moonlight Bridal that hugged her figure beautifully.
From the Bride:I always heard that wedding planning was supposed to be stressful and crazy. But thanks to my wonderful mom and wedding planner Kristi Treadwell of Joyful Details, everything felt like a breeze! From booking our venue to deciding on what color linens we would be using, it was all full of fun and lots of laughter!
Of course, there were hiccups. Like having over 100 people RSVP at the last minute and having to entirely change the lay out two weeks before the wedding. Not that I have any experience with that scenario. But hey, that just keeps life interesting. I truly couldn’t have loved my wedding day more. It was perfectly unique to my husband Craig and I.
Of all the planning tips, the best one I heard was to remember that it is you and your man’s day. So make it your own. Pinterest is great for ideas but it was so important to me to not let whatever was trendy get in the way of what I loved. Make it your own. You won’t regret it. And remember when it gets stressful that, at the end of the aisle, is the man of your dreams. And that’s what matters most.
We had our guests sign a map but a large portion of our guests didn't realize that what it was for or just completely did not see it. Unfortunately, the favors (personalized CD's and accompanying sleeves) were on the same table as the guest book and so many of them did not see our favors so a large portion of the CDs didn't get taken. It was a bummer to not have a more complete guest book and I was sad people didn't get their favors.
But, since the wedding we have given the CDs to our friends and family that didn't get one and also have been carrying our map around in our car and asking people to sign it. So, it all works out in the end. Silver lining right?
Craig and Torey's stunning and mood setting florals were provided by Unexpected Elements, a florist servicing Austin, San Antonio and Houston, Texas. Although they are a local business, they are willing to "bring the pretty anywhere!"
From the Bride:Honestly, our wedding was everything I hoped and dreamed it would be. There isn't anything major to the timeline itself that I would have changed. I will say, the one thing I wish we would have done differently would have been to draw more attention to the favors and guest book.
Read on to see how much this pink and gold wedding cost. Please note that costs change as the years go by, and prices are subject to change. This is just one couple’s breakdown to give you a rough estimate on how much a wedding like this may cost you.
My parents were so loving to my husband and me and gave us an extremely generous budget of $49,000. The major expenses were:
Add your Business for free
Catering (including food, staff, alcohol and gratuity): $19,500
Venue: $4,000 (we did pay a little extra to have access to the venue starting at 8am on the wedding day)
Dress, Reception Sash, Veil & Alterations: $2,600
Necklace: wedding present from Craig :)
Earrings: Birthday present from my parents!
Rentals (linens, extra tables and chairs): $2,000
Photographers (for engagements, bridals and 10 hours of wedding day with 3 shooters): $5,000
Joyful Details: $2,500
Videographer: Wedding gift from my parents The remaining $2,000 was spent on miscellaneous smaller expenses such as attendant and officiant gifts, pedicures for the bridesmaids, my pre-wedding pampering, my get away dress, and other such expenses.
We realize how extravagant this budget is and we were so blessed by it. My parents loved us well for sure :) However, as I mentioned in my blurb, extravagantly beautiful wedding aside, I got to marry Craig. And that was truly the best part. I would encourage all brides to remember this when crunching the numbers gets rough.
