bride and groom portrait with columns

With stately columns framing the ceremony and a tented reception, this New England garden wedding is picture-perfect. In shades of deep teal, blue, coral, and peach, this wedding is proof that you can have a timeless wedding with a vibrant color palette. The bride wore a lovely minimalist mermaid gown for the big day with a surprise bow accent in the back and the groom and his men brought the color with Lapis blue suits. If you’re looking for inspiration for your own wedding florals, these bright peony arrangments by Table & Tulip are spot on! Although Natalie and Wesley shared many study nights together during their undergrad, they remained “just friends,” despite Natalie’s instant crush. During medical school, the two reconnected, when they found out that they lived on the same floor of their apartment building. A winter photoshoot turned into a marriage proposal when Wesley surprised Natalie and got down on a snowy knee.

Natalie and Wesley’s wedding day was drenched in romance for an elevated garden party hosted at this Massachusetts country estate. Their venue, Glen Magna Farms, boasted majestic tree-lined paths, blooming floral shrubs, and 1800s statues, along with the charm of a historic country garden.

getting ready

Natalie and her bridesmaids prepared for the day in a lovely bridal suite on-site. She wore a crepe mermaid gown with a flowing chiffon bow that doubled as a train. Her hair was swept up in a delicate updo accented with a pink flower and a veil for the ceremony. Her bridesmaids wore mix-and-match mint-colored dresses that complimented the garden theme beautifully. Wesley and his groomsmen wore rich blue suits and mint ties that coordinated with the bridesmaid dresses.

Wesley stood, framed by regal columns and his groomsmen as he waited for his bride to grace the aisle. On her father’s arm, Natalie made her entrance and everyone was beaming with pure joy as she made her way down the garden path.

the vibe for the reception: elegant casual

Their elegantly casual reception was held outdoors, where guests enjoyed games on the lawn. As a nod to the couple’s love of Lord of the Rings, they had a themed sign at the entrance to their open-air sailcloth tent reading, “No admittance except on party business.”
