You, Me & A Flower Girl Makes Three

Erika and Ryan planned their stunning spring wedding at Figueroa Mountain Farmhouse for almost two years, delaying the big day in order to welcome daughter Shea without the distractions of wedding planning. The couple's beautiful baby girl played a central role in their wedding day, which was executed with so much love and support from their closest family and friends. Erika's beautiful Dreamers and Lovers dress was a perfect complement to the rustic venue, and guests were provided with quilts to bundle up as temperatures dropped with the sun.

From One Bride To Another

From the Bride: If I could do it all over again... I would do a “first look”, so we could truly enjoy the guests and party following the ceremony. Although, some of the best shots did come during dinner at sunset. No disaster struck that day, thankfully. There were a few minor setbacks that were out of anyone’s control... unexpected wind and cold. We prepared and anticipated a chilly night (had quilts available and a few heaters), but we were not prepared for the drastic drop in temperature.

Additionally, because our venue was somewhat remote and destination, we covered a lot of the details over the phone or through email. I feel the lack of face-to-face prep may have allowed for some miscommunication for that day. Our breathtaking venue was our focus and priority. We fell in love with the Figueroa Mountain Farmhouse. While it was worth every penny, it did cause for us to want to cut costs in other areas of our budget. The fact that we were able to enjoy and stay at the farmhouse and property for a week along with family and friends was our most valued aspect to our wedding.
