Lucas and Katrina’s big day has so much going for it, we’re not even sure where to start. First off…they had a “Back to the Future” Delorean as the Photo Booth backdrop for them and their guests. Second, their tropical modern decor was GORGEOUS! One of our fave details though has to be their “Find your Party Animal” seating chart (just wait till you see it).
As if that wasn’t enough, their reception party kicked off with the Brazilian “Hora Loca” stilt dancers, who paraded around the dance floor in colorful LED costumes. This may be a Wedding Chicks first, and we’re obsessed! Trust us, you won’t want to miss this rad wedding captured by Steve Cowell Photo. Modern tropical design
From Steve Cowell Photo: Lucas and Katrina pulled off such an incredible look with their wedding at Franciscan Gardens (they had the first indoor ceremony ever at the venue). The modern, tropical influences paired with bright, whimsical colors and fun, creative accents really made this a uniquely amazing day.
Mismatched gowns done right
From the bride: For the bridesmaid gowns, we wanted a single color palette of mismatched bridesmaid gowns, and weren’t afraid of mixing and matching designers to achieve this look. I wanted each bridesmaid to find a dress to reflect her personal style. In the end, they ended up picking dresses from BHLDN, Show Me Your Mumu, and Aidan Mattox.
That’s right….they had the Back to the Future Delorean as the Photo Booth backdrop, nuff said.
Find your party animal
From Steve Cowell Photo: Their escort cards were a wall of miniature golden animals and a sign saying “Find your party animal”. The super talented Vinscena of Intertwined Events did an incredible job with the design concept and install for this wedding and of course enlisted the floral genius of Shawna Yamamoto to make for a gorgeous end product! Also, to celebrate the groom’s South American heritage, they had a Brazilian “Hora Loca” with stilt dancers with LED costumes on, balloons, hats, glow sticks, and shot glasses lined up for all the guests. It was amazing!
Don’t hold back your emotions
From the bride: Let your happiness and radiance shine through and don’t hold back any emotions. Emotions are beautiful and contagious and all of our guests told us how much they felt our love and happiness on that day.
