This Intimate Texas Wedding Will Make You Fall In Love With Fall

Groom kissing happy bride at outdoor wedding ceremony

When picking a wedding date, most couples gravitate towards spring or summer, but don’t sleep on fall weddings! Fall weddings have so many perks that often go overlooked. Lower temperatures open up a bunch of fun wardrobe options like sleeves and velvet (hello!). Fall color palettes are also super versatile, you can go with deep jewel tones or bright oranges, or keep it totally neutral. Depending on where you are in the world, fall also offers some of the prettiest outdoor scenery. With an aisle made of freshly fallen leaves and mix and match velvet bridesmaids’ dresses in shades of terracotta and burgundy, this intimate outdoor wedding in Texas is the fall wedding of our dreams!

These candid photos by Honey Rose Photo make you feel like you are right there in the moment. Katiebug Floral Design created these stunning floral arrangements by combining dried and live flowers to give each one that fall feel. With space for an outdoor ceremony and a rustic barn interior, The Grove is the perfect venue to take advantage of all that natural fall beauty! You can see even more from this beautiful wedding in the full gallery. Read on to hear more from Shawna Rinehart of Honey Rose Photo.

GETTING READY

Emily and Tim decided on a terracotta theme that felt natural, cozy, and carefree. Their wedding was held at a beautiful outdoor venue, The Grove, surrounded by trees in Aubrey, Texas on a lovely October evening. The day began as the two got ready, Emily with her bridesmaids all with mimosas in hand. The first cry came when the florist, Katiebug Floral Design, arrived with the stunning floral decor and Emily’s bridal bouquet.

THE CEREMONY

Beautiful wedding reception table setting with flowers

The day was a bit chillier than expected, but right before the ceremony the sun peaked through, and Tim felt his father’s presence watching over their big day. Emily walked lovingly teary-eyed down the aisle to an instrumental version of “Fields of Gold”. The ceremony was short and sweet, and as per Tim’s one request, Tim and Emily walked down the aisle as husband and wife for the first time to Stevie Ray Vaughan’s “Pride and Joy”, and it was perfect!

A FEW OF THEIR FAVORITE THINGS

The reception was, ‘a dream’, according to Emily, filled with all of Emily and Tim’s favorite music, champagne, a chocolate espresso cake for Emily, a cookie cake for Tim, and drink koozies stamped with their furry pup. The cakes came from the amazing Jenny Layne Bakery. Tim and Emily’s first dance was to Sam Cooke’s “Cupid” in honor and memory of Tim’s father. Heartwarming Father and Mother dances followed to Stevie Nicks and Van Morrison, and then it was time to party.

A HEARTFELT DAY

Bride and groom share a joyful moment at their wedding

I think Emily’s words describe the day best, ‘It was a magical day and I can speak for both Tim and I when I say, we have never felt more loved, it was palpable. To all our wonderful vendors, you truly made my vision come to life. To everyone that came and those who sent well wishes from afar, we can’t thank you enough. What a feeling it is to promise your love to someone, surrounded by the people who matter most to you’.
