After hearing how Claire and Jon started dating and got engaged, we just knew that their wedding was destined to be a marvelous affair.
Read on to get the full scoop and your daily dose of romance!
A few years ago a plane was on its way to Kenya and among the several passengers were Claire and Jon, who were heading there for a mission trip.
They ended up sitting next to each other on their long flight and talked like they’d been friends forever.
Claire “accidentally” fell asleep with her arm linked in Jon’s, and their friendship blossomed into a relationship in the months that passed after they got off the plane.
Fast forward to this past May, when Claire and her family were in Costa Rica on vacation. She was rushing to get ready for a family photo shoot on the beach, and finally made it down to the sand for the pictures.
Once there she saw someone walking toward her who looked just like Jon.  She couldn’t believe her eyes when he got closer and it WAS Jon.
She ran over to hug him and then all of a sudden he was down on one knee asking her to marry him.
The reception was held at The Foundry at Puritan Mill, a gorgeous industrial inspired event space in Atlanta.
Jon’s groom’s cake was made to look like a suitcase and the stickers on the suitcase represented all of the places that he had traveled with Claire before their wedding day.
The magical evening concluded with a sparkler lit exit as the bride and groom left in the awesome Ramblin’ Wreck, which was very appropriate for two Georgia Tech alums!
