Stylish and Romantic Vineyard Wedding In Woodside, California

Share

Bride getting ready with intricate beaded wedding dress detail

Jullia and Paul had their stylish and classy wedding at Thomas Fogarty Winery in Woodside, California – known for its breathtaking views and relaxing setting. The wedding theme was a mix of clean and modern attire with romantic florals and decor and a vineyard setting.

The bridesmaids were pretty in pink and mauve while the groomsmen donned a gorgeous hue of blue. It was essential that their guests be part of an elegant affair, and no detail was missed – from the custom floral ceremony arch  to the clean and romantic table settings and reusable wine cup favors.

One of the highlights of their weddings was their traditional Korean ceremony, called the Paebaek. Traditionally the are only family, but Jullia and Paul decided to have all of their guests be part of this special ceremony by holding it at the start of their reception. Please scroll down to see this beautiful cultural ceremony.

All the gorgeous photos were captured by Caroline Yoon Photography and coordinated and styled by Two Perfect Events. You can see all the photos in the full gallery here

The Paebaek

The Paebaek is a way for the bride and groom to pay respect to their elders. The bride and groom are wearing traditional Korean garments called Hanbok. The wooden geese are a symbol to the bride’s parents that the groom will care for their daughter for life, as wild geese mate for life.

The highlight of the ceremony is the throwing of dates and chestnuts, which the bride catches in her large silk apron. These are a symbol of how many children our bride and groom might bear – chestnuts for daughters and dates for sons. They caught 20 in total! The ceremony ends with the groom giving the bride a piggyback ride to symbolize his everlasting devotion and love for the rest of their lives. The day ended with a gorgeous sunset over the vineyards, a decadent array of desserts, and dancing. It was truly a beautiful and memorable day filled with lots of beauty and love!
