Bride and groom holding hands on their wedding day

The bigger the bridal party, the bigger the fun! Is that what they say? This next Bride and Groom had 26 of their closest people by their side. They totally made the most of their day by reimagining their dream wedding from Mexico to California – with traditions and all this wedding went off without a hitch. Totally digging the blush bridesmaid dresses mixed with the bold ceremony decor for a dramatic feel. What kind of traditions will you incorporate into your wedding?

Dpfilms Productions was there to capture all the fun details and Just As Promised Events planned every detail at the beautiful venue, La Lomita Ranch. You can see all the images in the full gallery.

Amor Eterno

Wedding party in blush pink dresses at a beautiful venue

Sandee and Adrian’s wedding was classy and romantic with soft blush, white and gold accents filled with Catholic and Mexican wedding traditions beautifully captured by Dpfilms Productions. Sandee had originally envisioned a large destination wedding in Mexico. Since that wasn’t feasible, she searched for a Spanish-inspired venue in California.

Sandee fell in love with her dream venue, La Lomita Ranch, a Spanish-inspired setting with hand-crafted Mexican furnishings, Talavera tile accents, and endless views. She booked a date 45 days away, and recruited Just As Promised Events to plan the entire wedding weekend in a time crunch while tying in their Mexican culture, unique traditions and maintaining the classy, romantic vibe.

Sandee and Adrian had a large wedding party consisting of 26 members. Busy Little Queen did an amazing job with bridal hair and makeup while Bellizzimo Beauty’s team beautified the bridesmaids and mothers; all featuring a romantic updo. Sandee wore a stunning Glaudi “Feliz” bridal gown featuring a grand removable satin skirt, a high slit with floral trim, and a sweetheart neckline along with a Cathedral veil. Adrian wore a classic black tuxedo with personalized cufflinks, a gift from Sandee, while his groomsmen wore black suits with blush ties to complement the bridesmaids’ blush gowns.

A Perfect Venue

Their Catholic ceremony took place in the breathtaking Pavilion space featuring large chandeliers. Gyc Rentals added elegant draping to create an intimate ceremony space and grander bridal entrance. By Request’s abundance of candles and gorgeous floral arrangements set the mood for a romantic wedding throughout. They said their vows in front of a wooden cross adorning a gorgeous floral spray with Sandee’s lucky flower, Lilies. This arrangement was later re-purposed to their sweetheart table. Retired Reverend, Father Jerry Belemy, incorporated traditions such as the Unity Candle, Lazo, Arras and Red Roses for the mothers.

After the ceremony, Mariachi Voces a Tapatias led the guests to the cocktail hour area in a Callejoneada parade, a wedding tradition in Mexico, along with giant 12’ Mojiganga dolls that resembled the bride and groom. What better way to celebrate getting married than with streamers, dancing to upbeat music alongside gigantic papier mache versions of yourselves?

Salud! Food + Drinks

Guests enjoyed Mixed Events 805 signature cocktails displayed on a gorgeous gold shelf. Spanish sayings were scattered throughout such as a “Salud” sign on the drinks display. Guests found their blush escort cards on a mirror seating display along a hedge wall with “Your Seat Awaits” in gold lettering. In the barn, an extremely long dinner table made of 17 wooden tables featured a long line of candles, flowers, and gold accents; all set under romantic string lighting. The place settings tied in the gold accents along with blush napkins, a delicate menu, personalized mint favors and tequila favors from Jalisco, Mexico. Delicious By Debbie Duggan curated their plated dinner menu with hints of traditional Mexican flavors.

Following dinner and toasts in the barn, guests transitioned back to the Pavillion space, flipped to accommodate dessert, drinks and dancing. Christine’s Cake Creations’ 4-tier cake was inspired by the intricate details in papel picado banners. She created a variety of Mexican-inspired cupcake flavors including Mexican Hot Chocolate, Tres Leche, Churro and Paloma flavors.

Cc Premier Entertainment facilitated the special dances, money dances, La Vibora snake dance and kept guests dancing all night. A romantic lounge from Embellish Vintage Rentals with blush tones and faux fur accents, cozy blankets and a dreamy gold framed sign was available near the reception bar for guests to unwind and mingle. At the end of the night, Sandee and Adrian retreated into their Novia suite feeling elated having gotten the “wedding of their dreams” here in CA after all.
