NYC Rooftop Wedding at Hotel Giraffe: Tropical Paradise by Anderson Green

Share

New York City wedding planner, Lisa for Anderson Green Events:
Inspired by their recent trip to Africa, Melissa and Andrew chose to have their wedding at the rooftop salon of Hotel Giraffe on Park Avenue in Manhattan.  They wanted an outdoor ceremony and an intimate indoor space for their 36 guests and this space works fit both their wishes.
Melissa had hired Shawn Rabideau to do her flowers and simply said, “I am from Hawaii.”  With that sliver of information, he transformed the entire roof top into a tropical island.  Orchids, spider mums, various roses – in bright, bold colors made every detail really pop.  Because of Melissa’s total trust in his design, he actually picked her wedding for the pilot of his new TV show “In Full Bloom” {yup, yours truly makes several cameo’s in it!} – the space was beautifully lit and designed impeccably.  Their wedding day was filled with vibrant splashes of color and despite the entire week leading up to the wedding it pouring with rain, there wasn’t a drop in sight by the time they walked down the aisle!
