Pink and Gold Wedding in the California Hills

The rolling hills of Southern California glow like gold in the setting sun. This was a unique feature that Alisha Marie Photography took full advantage of in this lovely pink and gold wedding in the California hills. Get inspired by the glamorous pink and gold picnic style table decor and the custom wedding dress that the gorgeous bride is wearing. You can see even more by visiting the full gallery here.

From Alisha Marie Photography:This stylized wedding shoot was inspired by the gorgeous rolling golden hills in Trabuco Canyon, CA, which is where much of the shimmering gold details sprouted from. Items that weren’t bought while thrifting were found around the house and laced in with the designing. The beautiful bride’s hair was twisted up away from her face and a gorgeous Elyse Reuben custom designed gown draped her figure while the groom kept things simple and light in a vest and slacks.

Nifty Thrifting Ideas

We were on a tight budget and wanted to showcase how an intimate and elegant wedding could be accomplished under financial restraint. The table was under $30 dollars from a thrift store, blankets and pillows were found around the home, centerpiece, cups, plates, flower holder, and glass holders were all bought at thrift stores and painted gold. Napkins were sewn together from inexpensive material purchased from a fabric store and laid gently under old antique keys found while thrifting.

Flowers were bought fresh and bundled together at home, including bouquet. The cake was made from scratch at home and placed on a stand from local discount store, topped with flowers, and settled on a chest and fabric also from home.
