Meredith & Reid live in New York City, but have ties to Austin, Texas! So it was a perfect fall escape to have their destination wedding at the Salt Lick’s Pecan Grove in Driftwood, Texas. The tall pecan trees lined the shady grove, and guests were greeted with a giant artistic chalkboard wedding program as they approached the ceremony. The opposite side of the board served as the backdrop for the photo booth with their names scrolled across the top. The ceremony took place at sunset, with beautiful golden light streaming through the trees. A few surprises were in store for their guests – first, an amazing choreographed first dance, followed by fruit cobbler a la modes in lieu of wedding cake. As any Texan knows, the Salt Lick BBQ has the best desserts!
