Christina and Richard are both very creative people and the talent behind their Etsy shop Le Trango. Serra Plaza was the perfect venue which fit their rustic elegant style phenomenally.

Wear Comfy Shoes!
The bride wore a beautiful gown with lace bustier bodice and silk organza skirt by Leanne Marshall that moved with the wind, giving it a more ethereal look to it. She also opted for comfort over designer style for her bridal shoes which was a smart move, and allowed her to enjoy the day, dancing the night away!
Team Up And Plan Things Out
We booked all the most time sensitive items first – venue, DJ, cake, catering, photographer, and then handled the details and decoration near the end. We used a lot of Google docs haha. It was mainly Richard and me planning and we made a great team!
Mix Your Cultures
The venue allowed for Chinese seafood! And plus, it had a beautiful, rustic, outdoorsy vibe for a reasonable price. We wanted to make our Vietnamese and Taiwanese family happy with the food plus bring our more modern, Western aesthetics to the wedding. We wanted the wildflower look, with stems exposed and uneven. We weren’t particular about the type of flowers, more about the overall look and color palette which was blush, soft jade green and cream.
Scale Down Your Guest List
If I could do something differently about the wedding, I definitely would scale down the number of guests. We had about 170 people attend our wedding and it was hard to be able to talk to everyone, which I regret, because they’re the reason why you throw a wedding celebration!
Dance Under The Stars
Favorite moment: Slow dancing with Richard under the night sky – after the first dance and speeches were over! It was the first moment that felt truly ours. Amazing. Everyone really pulled together and the wedding was virtually without mistakes. It was truly a magical night.
