Share

Happy bride and groom on their wedding day portrait

The bride and groom, Jett & Ryan, wanted to throw the most epic party of their lives that celebrated their love for each other. What better way to do that than to have tons of fun, amazing cocktails, and dance the night away in a gorgeous setting?
Bold bright colors pop out from every corner and sharp angles contrast with unique curve to set the scene for this party time modern wedding. Don’t miss out on any of the fun, check out the entire gallery here, captured by the talented Steve Cowell Photo.

Words from The Vendors

Jett and Ryan enlisted an epic team of vendors to come together for an amazingly designed, planned and executed night for them and their 60 guests. Their impeccable style was captured by Jesi Haack as she incorporated killer details like giant floating “R + J” in the pool, miniature Eames toy chairs as escort cards/guest favors, and a mid-century styled wooden sunburst as an altar backdrop for the ceremony.

The groom also contributed to the design with his collection of authentic 1950’s clock radios as table centerpieces that he personally restores to perfect working order. Combine this all with incredible laser-cut acrylic signage designed by the ever talented Amber Moon of Pitbulls and Posies and killer florals by Honey & Poppies and you have one incredibly beautiful day!

We truly had no regrets, everything worked out perfectly and we couldn’t asked for a better wedding. The only thing I would have done differently was find/wear more comfortable shoes. I picked them based on aesthetics and not comfort. They ended up coming off at the beginning of the dance party but my feet were definitely sore for a few days afterwards.

Steal worthy idea

This couple decided to take an entirely new angle to the idea of “find your seat”. For escort cards they included various types of modern miniature chairs. Therefore, when you found your escort card you were also quite literally finding Your seat!

The dance party thrown by Dart DJ came to a perfect close as the bride and groom and a majority of the guests and vendors concluded the night by jumping in the pool fully clothed. It was amazing!

Read on to see how much this party time modern wedding cost. Please note that costs change as the years go by, and prices are subject to change. This is just one couple’s breakdown to give you a rough estimate on how much a wedding like this may cost you.

I am comfortable with sharing our budget, I’ll just give you a few of the biggies. Our original budget was $35-40,000 and when everything was said and done we spent 50,000+ (I almost had a heart attack when I added it up at the end). But we had saved up, paid the vendors throughout the year (even early in most cases) so we wouldn’t have a big chunk due at the end. The biggest splurge was photography/videography. Those two combined with our photo booth added up to $7500. Catering with apps/taco cart was $3800. Decor was also very important to us, our venue was $6,000 and design elements (including:styling, materials, invites and paper goods) was around $7000. Flowers were $2000, an area we saved a little in since we didn’t have a wedding party to get bouquets or boutonnieres for.
