Natural and Airy Vineyard Destination Wedding in Napa

Romantic vineyard wedding

The natural airy design of Cale and Lori’s wedding in Napa is gorgeous and full of personal touches. Their designation nuptials took place amongst the vines, and their cool reception provided shade for everyone under custom built pergolas.

Crisp white linens, garland centerpieces, and moscow mule mugs took their decor to the next level. And how about those sparkly Adrianna Papell bridesmaid dresses?! Read on about their day below and catch the entire day in the full gallery from Onelove Photography.

a beautiful atmosphere

From the bride: Cale and I wanted a small wedding, almost like a summer dinner party with friends and loved ones. We wanted good food, good wine, and people who love us. It was important to me to be outside, with a relaxed but beautiful atmosphere. One thing about Napa is the dramatic change in temperature from day to night. We went from 85 degrees to 55 degrees!

Have a family member officiate your ceremony

Since we had a destination wedding, it was important to me that our ceremony officiant wouldn't be a stranger. I asked my Uncle if he would consider registering to become an officiant and do our ceremony for us. I was nervous to ask, but he was so honored and it made our wedding day so much more special.

It's all in the details

We erected shade structures for the daytime to keep everyone cool, and handed out pashminas once the sun set to keep the ladies warm. The shawls were wrapped with a sweet message- "To Have and To Hold, When you get Cold" and were a huge hit. Cale is a huge fan on moscow mules- huge- so we knew we wanted our signature cocktail to represent his taste. For the decor, I wanted everything to be very neutral and earthy, but we were missing a focal point. A moscow mule mug for water on our tables really elevated the design.

Planning a destination wedding? Hire a planner

Our wedding was a destination wedding, so I knew I needed someone local to help me vet vendors and smooth the way. A wedding planner really steps in the week before and day of the wedding. When all you want to do is dance on your big day, having someone there to deal with issues that pop up is a huge relief. I also highly recommend doing a first look. Get those gorgeous pictures out of the way early-on, so you can enjoy the rest of your day!
