their love story

Michael and Elizabeth have known each other since kindergarten and have shared a lifelong connection. After officially dating for four years, they became engaged during a romantic trip to Italy’s picturesque lake region. For their honeymoon, they embarked on an adventure that checked off several bucket-list destinations, including Greece, the Maldives, and Bali, creating memories to last a lifetime.
the vision: elegance in ivory

Designed by Velour Events and coordinated by W Events, each room at Michael and Elizabeth’s wedding at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center radiated luxury, with decor and floral arrangements in soft ivories and champagnes creating a cohesive elegance. As a self-proclaimed floral connoisseur, the bride envisioned blooms adorning every detail, from the aisle to the bar. One of her favorite installations was the ornate head table, lavishly covered with flowers by Foxglove & Heather and illuminated by cascading J-hook chandeliers overhead. “My goal was to have a wedding that I would look at and love for decades to come,” Elizabeth shared. The ceremony was held in a striking marble room within the grand Tennessee venue. Tall pillars, globe-like chandeliers, and flowing ivory drapery added to the timeless atmosphere. The reception continued in a modern ballroom with floor-to-ceiling windows that framed stunning city views.

the invitations

Blending timeless elegance with modern touches like watercolor fashion illustrations and Polaroid photos, this invitation suite is truly unique. We love that they also included attire suggestions for their guests instead of simply listing the dress code—trust us, your guests and photos will thank you!
getting ready

Elizabeth lounged in a satin slip and lace robe set as she got ready for the big day. Her hair down, in tousled waves, she shared a private moment with her mom before getting the party started with her girls.

the dress

Elizabeth, a former Ms. Tennessee, knew her wedding gown needed to make a statement. The custom creation was designed to echo the venue’s architectural grandeur, featuring a draped silk bodice, an asymmetrical off-the-shoulder neckline, and a voluminous skirt. She completed her look with an oversized all-white bouquet and a cathedral-length veil edged with lace, striking the perfect balance of softness and sophistication. Elizabeth then changed into a glamorous party ensemble with illusion mesh and a glittering beaded bodice.

press for champagne

Champagne, her signature drink, inspired a playful “press for champagne” wall where guests were served bubbly through a surprise window.

an audio guest book

We’re seeing these audio guest books popping up everywhere these days, but what we really love about this one is how it’s displayed. The sleek pedestal creates an intimate space, almost like a phone booth.
some extra special guests

Even the fur babies got the memo on the black-tie dress code. Just look at that pinstripe tuxedo and mini wedding dress!!!
the cake

Simple and sweet, this four-tiered wedding cake with fresh ivory flowers is the perfect finish to a perfect day.
the getaway car

For their big getaway, the couple climbed into a blue vintage convertible. Seriously, how perfect is that color? Talk about something blue!
