Modern Chic Black and White Wedding with a Splash of Color

Simple black and white wedding with pops of color

When Rachel and Robby envisioned their wedding, they wanted to keep it simple and chic with a black and white color palette and modern decor. They ended up adding a romantic splash of muted color to the florals and bouquets that took their wedding to next level.

The bridesmaids looked uh-mazing is their off-shoulder dresses from Vince Camuto, while the bride looked flawless in her Rita Vinieris gown. From the chic outdoor ceremony to their dreamy reception with marble tile place cards, read more about this day from the bride below. Ready for more images? Keep it simple and chic

From the Bride: When envisioning our wedding, I had several ideas in mind. This was partially because I had been in the wedding industry for many years and had seen so many beautiful weddings, and partially because there are different sides and facets of our personalities we wanted to share. We kept coming back to the idea of "simplicity". We wanted simplicity in our colors and decor.

Splash of color

While I love the black and white scheme my wonderful wedding photographer Tara suggested we add a splash of statement and color with my flowers. I'm so glad we added color to soften the palate and create a timeless look.

Keeping in personal

Robby and I wanted our guests to simply enjoy themselves. We wanted to make it as personal as possible whether it was personally handwriting the marble nameplates, or choosing vendors that we had either been friends with or felt like we could be friends with. We sought to have our guests who might have only known the bride or groom's side, leave the night not only feeling like they now know both of us but knew our relationship too.

the best disaster to ever happen

The only "disaster" that struck was we booked a photographer, and after an engagement session with them, we realized we were not a good fit. Six months before the wedding we did some more research and found Tara Leinen. It was the best disaster to ever happen to us. Not only do we love Tara's work, but she had such a calming sense about her the whole day! We even had family members commenting on how hard working she was throughout the night.
