Getting ready should be glamorous

When dressing the bride, Alexa and Gelmina's vision was of an eternal dreamer with her eyes always fixed on the sky. For the getting-ready shoot, the bride started in the imperial bathtub with a glass of champagne and a Marianna Lanzili short silk and lace slip dress, Saint Laurent glasses, a light mist of the fragrance Houbigant Paris, and a silk swallow veil by English designer Gibson Bespoke.

Feathered accessories can be just the right touch

For the official bridal look, Agnes Doussot designed an elegant and natural makeup and hair look to stay in the spirit of a light and airy mood. For the ceremony, the bride wore a very light silk slip dress created by Herve Moreau Couture via Nicea Mariage Boutique with a long cape by Gibson Bespoke embellished with embroidery of bird and flower motifs. She accessorized the look with a pair of fabulous Elsa ivory illusion mesh ivory sequin heels. For the second bridal look, the bride wore English designer Katya Katya London for a sophisticated and festive look. The gown emphasized a feminine shape, exploding with a double layer of tulle. The look was accessorized with a feather bracelet, minimalist ceramic hair accessories, and earrings created by Sommer Jewelry.

Creating a theme inspired by love birds

Alexa and Gelmina began with an idea to use birds as their main inspiration, and once they visited the chateau, they realized that would be the perfect inspiration, as owners Fabienne and Nicolas love birds and raise parakeets on the property. The keywords for this shoot were lightness, frivolity, feathers, and sky, all linking back to the main subject of inspiration: birds. The colors they chose to complement this theme were light and warm, and included creamy white, okra yellow, and dusty blue. Looking to pull off this look for your own special day? Use keywords such as sky, sunbeams, birds in the sky, light breeze, and early autumn. Each of these keywords will bring up inspiration full of light fabrics, minimalistic accessories, and an airy vibe.

Creamy white and dusty blue: A timelessly chic decor duo

The flowers and decor were curated by florist Jessica Tua, and followed the colors of the rest of the inspiration. The tables were adorned with airy compositions in creamy white, pastel blue, and a slightly more intense yellow. The cream-colored tablecloths and dusty blue napkins by Magnolias On Silk completed the look created courtesy of rentals from Lovisolo Ricevimenti. At each place-setting, a pear was placed to emphasize both the season as well as the fruit plantations that surround the chateau.
