Intimate COVID Wedding for High School Sweethearts

Happy bride and groom laughing walking hand in hand

Henry & I met in high school and always dreamed of our wedding day. We started dating in 2013 and got engaged after an incredible 6 years of dating. We got engaged at a beautiful spot in Baltimore – Nick’s Fish House. May 30 was our wedding date and with the pandemic on the rise we began to get worried about how our wedding day would be. Intimate Ceremony

We opted for a small and intimate ceremony in our backyard with just our families. At first, we were heartbroken and crushed that we couldn’t spend our biggest day with all of our people. But we were so wrong, it was the most beautiful day & our most favorite. We had so many people offer to help with our backyard wedding. They put together beautiful flowers, a delicious cake, exquisite invitations and signs, and helped with set-up of my family’s backyard.

Betsy Robinson Bridal

My gown was from Betsy Robinson Bridal, I had the best experience picking out this dream dress and now I get to wear it twice. Our family friend, Keyne put together our flowers for the day and I have never seen more bright and stunning floral arrangements. Another friend, Jill offered to make invitations for our backyard wedding and make signs to make the day more special.

Outpouring of Love

It was an incredible outpouring of love from those who have supported us through the journey of wedding planning during this pandemic season. We had friends and family drive by our house for our reception afterwards, and there was not a dry eye. Our people came to us! May 30 was so filled with love and so beautiful- we couldn’t have asked for a better day!!

Being married has been our favorite thing, we love taking on this journey of life together!
