If You Love Flowers this Modern Secret Garden Wedding is for You

Reflection love

Tanya and Scott’s modern flower-filled wedding is like walking into a colorful secret garden. Blooms can be seen in just about every aspect of their outdoor wedding at The Miller Lash House in Toronto. Lustre Events left no flower unturned and featured some gorgeous decor ideas including a ribbon seating chart and modern centerpieces of acrylic vase boxes filled with flowers.

Their big day was truly a dream come true, so keep scrolling to read more about the design inspiration for their modern secret garden wedding, and be sure to enjoy the full gallery from Sara Wilde Photography

Flowers and color everywhere

From Lustre Events: Designing Tanya and Scott's wedding was so much fun! The bride loves flowers. Like really loves flowers. So they wanted a memorable floral affair, done in a different way. They welcomed color, pattern, and clean lines. The inspiration for their Modern Secret Garden was born! Fresh flowers, floral print, edible flowers, floral shoes, candy flowers, oh my! We incorporated them everywhere.

Wild and wonderful ceremony

The wild and wonderful ceremony arbor created by Tanya List Designwas a showstopper. The stems growing out of the ground beside the structure was such a sweet detail. Everything felt natural and lush. Guests arrived at the hot summer ceremony welcomed by a station to cool down and quench their thirst. During the signing of the license, we surprised everyone with butler-passed popsicles. What a hit and truly memorable moment!

The romantic tent created the perfect backdrop for the crisp white chairs and tables. This blank canvas really allowed the blooms and colors to pop. The tablescape featured a garden inspired floral display encased in an acrylic box, and little "sprouting garden" pieces to continue the perception of growth. Those custom floral napkins jumped off the place setting and we are still obsessed with that amazing fabric.

Flourishing florals

The bar showcased a fun mandala inspired design made from petals and leaves. As the bright colored candles flickered with ribbons and vines swaying above them, the tent settled into the flourishing floral environment we envisioned. We collaborated in depth with Daniel et Daniel to personalize the culinary details. They wanted the menu to be fun and approachable for a range of guest tastes. The evening started with a wildflower salad, followed by delicious entree's of fried chicken, beef tenderloin on decadent mac & cheese, and fish n' chips.
