I Do Venues Weekend Planning Guide: Wine Country

I Do Venues Weekend Planning Guide: Wine Country

Summary

It's the weekend and for all you DIY brides, this is when the real work begins - Wedding Planning! The weekend planning guide is intended to give some of you a starting point, just a few places and vendors to go and check out. This week we are focusing on the wine country, both Napa and Sonoma are ideal for a fall wedding. The weather in the wine country is superb this time of year and the colors of the turning foliage are surreal - it really does resemble a painting. What I love about wine country weddings are the options. The valley has so many different and unique offerings. You may choose a 5 star hotel (there are about 10), a rustic barn, or you may want a more traditional winery wedding.
The above inspiration board was chosen today because this classic pale pink color combination with lots of sophistication and charming details would be amazing at so many different wine country locations. I can see the vibrant hues waking up the garden at Annadel and I love the monogram wreath hanging from the bride's door at Meadowood - they are lovely.

Venues

Currently we have over twenty different Wine Country venues represented on I Do Venues and more than forty posts - we obviously love them all! Today I choose venues I feel are a bit more unique, bohemian, or off the beaten path - I hope you check them out and enjoy.

CornerStone Garden, Annadel Winery, which is run by the fabulous Paula LeDuc Fine Catering, and Kunde (check out the ruins).

Catering Companies

The wine country is well known for the breathtaking views, full bodied wines, and the food! In the wine country is doesn't matter if you are a hamburger stand, five star restaurant, or catering company - you won't survive in the valley without having phenomenal food. The beauty of many wedding venues is that you are allowed to bring in a catering company that you choose, which allows you to present a bit of your own personal style while planning your celebration meal. There are a few that I would not recommend, but today I will encourage you to go check out Alex's Catering and Wine Valley Catering both offer great menu options, amazing fresh cuisine, and great service!
