I Do Venues: StoneTree Golf Club Casual Sophistication

Share

Beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony with a happy bride and guests

Photography by: Hagop’s Photography This venue has a beautiful slide show!

About the venue

About halfway across the Golden Gate Bridge you enter Marin county. I’m not sure what is more quintessential Marin – the amazing vista’s you see when you cross the Golden Gate Bridge or the rainbow tunnel. Either way you kinda feel like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, entering into a completely different world watching the pandemonium of downtown San Francisco get smaller in the distance as you embrace all that is MARIN. StoneTree Golf Club embraces the idea of casual sophistication that Marin county is known for. Tucked amongst the ancient Oak tree forest and natural wetlands of Novato you will find amazing manicured lawns and flowing water features. These amenities are somewhat expected from a championship golf course, but when you add the incredible craftsman-style clubhouse, you have a truly unique experience.
The best wedding venues have a strong aesthetic and detailed architectural features that allow you to build an overall design look with minimal effort and cost. The traditional country club and hotel wedding often times get underrated as too “vanilla” and hence overlooked by couples. The StoneTree Golf Club is definitely not vanilla – the natural stone facade alongside the beautiful craftsman-style building is a great starting point for a classic and elegant affair. I love the Sunset Terrace – the view of Mt. Tam and the mountains is gorgeous! On the perfect day you can see just a hint of fog rolling over the hills as the day comes to an end and nature begins to cool off the area. If size is an issue, then you should consider combining the Black Oak and the Waterfall Saloons. Together these rooms can accommodate 250 guests effortlessly with dancing and a band… and a lot of fun. The elegant windows give your guests stunning views of the lake and waterfall in addition to the hillside forest and Mt. Tam beyond.

I Do Venues wants to recognize the talented team of wedding professionals who helped to make this bride’s dream a reality: Photographer – Hagop’s Photography; Floral – Chia-Hui Wen; Cake – Branching Out Cakes; Catering – Elaine Bell Catering; Entertainment – Funtouchables.
