About the venue

Riverside, San Bernadino and Ontario California can also be commonly referred to as the Inland Empire. This distinct, part of Southern California, has over 4 million residents and is the 13th most popular residential area in the United States. With so many people here, there has to be a significant number of brides looking for a great wedding venue. So here we go - check out the Mitten Building.
I love the story of The Mitten Building! It mimics the hard-working agricultural and manufacturing roots that have made this region of Southern California thrive for over 100 years. The building that no one seemed to want was warmly adopted by a team of "conservationists business men" in 1998. After examining the building they realized that the brick facade and gorgeous wood-beamed trusses of the interior were not going anywhere and that the historic building would be a part of the history of Redlands for years to come.

This spectacular celebration is such a treat and perfectly paired with the historic roots of The Mitten Building. The train tracks that reside outside the Mitten Building are part of the building's historic roots. The close proximity of the tracks allowed for the fresh citrus crops from surrounding farms to be packed and loaded with minimal effort. What a great way to use a bit of history into your celebration: the photography outside among the tracks gives you a sense of history and rustic chic. I love how the couple chose to use the vibrant colors of meyer lemon yellow, tangerine, and blood oranges for the dresses and bouquets - stunning. The groom's Retro-styled ensemble is such a wonderful and upbeat change to many of the more traditional stylings worn by today's grooms and I must say, the escort tags that are fashioned as luggage tags, along with the old fashioned luggage, provide a great look and cohesion for a sweet and sassy design.
