About the Venue

Clos LaChance is only a brief drive from Silicon Valley, but its gorgeous white stucco and creeping ivy exterior feels a million miles away from the daily grind. The winery, which produces quality wines that are both sustainably farmed and affordable, provides a beautiful backdrop for your special day.
The expansive Grand Lawn is host to panoramic views of 100 acres of vineyards and golden mountain sides. Exchange vows under the wooden pergola with this as your backdrop to really wow your guests. It is only a hop, skip, and a jump to the adjacent flagstone Grand Terrace, perfect for hosting your seated dinner with its bordered walls of white roses and fantastic views.
Dancing takes place in the salon - filled with incredible antiques and true old world glamour, this space boasts rich wood trim, a dramatic wrought iron chandelier, and an original tapestry depicting Roman scenery covering one massive wall. Guests will feel as if they have been invited into someone's beautiful and warm home for dancing and cake, and is there really any better way to host your most treasured friends and family?

Carlie Statsky did such an incredible job of capturing this wedding in all of its bright, cheerful glory. I love the color palette of yellows, pinks, and oranges which works perfectly in Spring and Summer when the flowers are blooming, the days are hot, and everyone is basking in the sunshine. The use of billy balls, a silly and whimsical flower, amidst a bed of romantic blooms like ranunculus and roses stand out and adds a sense of fun to the arrangements. The Grand Lawn of Clos LaChance, where this couple exchanged vows, has a fantastic open wood arbor to set the stage. I love the use of the existing wood structure to hang flowers from ribbons in a multitude of colors for a playful and lovely backdrop. Giving guests paper parasols to block the sunshine is a lovely gesture in wine country where the days tend to really heat up.
The thought provided to the details of this wedding is so clear - the couple did not use a planner so DIY projects were key, and I think everything came together beautifully! A few words from the photographer regarding the couple's vision for their special day:

"Marilyn and Jason are so clearly in love and they brought that same clarity to their vision for their big day. Every aspect of the day felt so thoughtful and cohesive, from the custom invitations, programs, and menus that were all designed by the couple themselves, to the yellow macaroons that Marilyn's mom baked, to the beautiful floral designs and the stunning cake, to the basket of golden flip flops by the dance floor. I love how bright and alive the day looked, which completely reflects Marilyn's personality. There were so many beautiful moments that day, beginning with their first look in San Francisco, Jason's surprise letter for Marilyn just moments before the ceremony, an emotional and personal ceremony and later an amazing live band to get the party started and some late night photo booth antics.

There is so much beauty in this one location, with views out over the vineyards in every direction and beautiful Californian light that streams through the courtyards and gardens that surround the place. Both inside and out feel elegant and inviting, with many different areas for guests to enjoy themselves." ~ Carlie Statsky
