About the Venue

Held at the spooky-licious 1 Fort Mason in San Francisco, this Halloween-themed wedding fits perfectly at this seaside venue. Best suited for an outdoor garden ceremony followed by a grand gala inside, 1 Fort Mason is a beautiful location for an October wedding! With almost a dozen on-site venues to choose from, you can be completely creative with your ceremony and reception space at this one-of-a-kind property. As a true San Francisco landmark, you can't ignore the incredible oceanfront views, as well as the city views surrounding you. The General's Residence (photographed above) is an amazing indoor space with views of Alcatraz and the surrounding San Francisco seascape.

Ask the Expert

This delightfully spooky wedding is a great example of how to incorporate seasonal fun into your wedding! Weddings and holidays are all about celebrating with family and friends, so what better way to celebrate that special day than with a holiday theme! Halloween especially is a fun theme that lends to endless DIY ideas (like making a glittery glam statement with sparkly gold pumpkins!). Pumpkins of all shapes, colors and sizes can be placed in any space to spice up the decor.
Something that I really love about this wedding is the simplicity of the design. They used fun lighting to highlight some special touches, and they stuck with the vibrant Halloween color palette of oranges, golds, greens and black. The bride's bouquet couldn't be more stunning; bright blood orange-colored roses, crimson dahlias and a few bright succulents to spring it all together. Remember to tie everything into your design and color palette for a wonderfully cohesive wedding design that is 100-percent you.
