How To Have The Perfect Intimate Wedding In Greece

how to have the perfect intimate wedding in greece

Thinking of leaving all the wedding planning stress behind and eloping? We totally get it, and elopements like Jamie and Hunters in Santorini make that option incredibly enticing! With fewer people involved in your big day, you can do a whole lot more, like rent a vintage Porche and have a sweet wedding day photo shoot at a scenic lookout, and have a private sunset wedding dinner.

Jamie and Hunter checked all these boxes and added a few more to their beautiful Santorini wedding day. Keep scrolling for more ideas, and don't miss the full gallery of photos that is packed with even more details thanks to the photography talents of Anna Roussos

Tie The Knot In Santorini

We designed for Jamie and Hunter a fresh and fun elopement in a bright color scheme!! I just loved the combination of vibrant colors such as fuchsia, orange, and turquoise, supplemented with softer tones of pink and peach. The wedding décor was so joyful, like these two lovebirds!!

We also mixed different pretty florals, peonies, garden roses and the Greek bougainvillea. That bougainvillea arch looked fabulous, didn't it? I also loved Jamie’s flower crown. Instead of a veil, she opted for a half flower crown with big roses!!

Another Stylish detail was the Porsche Speedster that Hunter just loved driving around Santorini! After their beautiful, intimate wedding ceremony, they enjoyed a romantic private dinner at one of the prettiest Santorini balconies!! It was a dreamy day!!

From the Bride:

I bought my wedding dress off the rack in a small shop in the fashion district in Los Angeles. It didn't have a designer. My focus for my dress was that it had to be beautiful and very light. We were traveling all over Europe before and after our wedding so transporting it easily was a big concern.

My advice for future brides and grooms would be to roll with the punches. You plan every little detail and would love everything to go EXACTLY as planned. There will always be a least a few things that don't go according to plan. Don't let that derail your mood. Just enjoy every moment of beginning your marriage.

We were hoping for a little bit warmer weather so we could enjoy dinner outside in the same spot we got married. The wind picked up after the ceremony, so that wasn't really an option. We did get all the wonderful photos we wanted thanks to our fabulous photographer Anna Roussos and the venue accommodated our dinner by moving us to a private cave which was wonderfully romantic.

Budget breakdown

We spent more than we originally intended. But whenever we thought about cutting back on anything we realized the day and the details were so important. We didn't have any guests so every penny would be spent on us enjoying our day. There were a few lavish things we individually wanted, so we just kept saying yes.
