About the couple
When you meet “your own” couple you have a feeling like you won jackpot. That’s exactly the feeling I had after our first call with Tom and Matina. So stylish, such open-minded people who perfectly knew how their wedding should be, and how it shouldn’t. Matina is originally from Patra (a city in Central Greece) but she spent her childhood in beautiful Corfu in her family’s summer house. For the last 15 years, she lived in New York where she met her future husband Tom. When Tom visited Corfu for the first time he fell in love with the beauty of this island and its authentic Greek vibes, crystal turquoise sea, and delicious food. So the choice of the wedding’s destination came in very natural way – Corfu!
The Wedding Day
We started wedding planning a year before the date. Matina wanted to combine very Greek elements with modern and stylish details. This is how the whole wedding’s concept was born. Modern geometrical shapes and simple rustic floral design with olive branches and some white flowers.
Acrylic place cards, sophisticated table plan with golden calligraphy, golden geometrical shaped candle holders, welcome signed – all these perfectly fitted in the beautiful Villa Sylva’s surroundings which is one of the most elegant and luxurious wedding venues in Corfu.
We were speechless when we first saw Matina’s wedding dress from Carol Hannah Bridal and ideal Louboutin shoes, it was the perfect bridal look. The bride walked down the aisle with father with the accompaniment of Greek traditional musicians. The ceremony was so touching and full of tears of happiness. The reception took the place near the pool of the villa. Needless to say, that night continued with dancing…and swimming. It was an unforgettable day!
