From The Bride
Josh and I met in high school Summer 2001. We were both enrolled in summer school. I didn’t know anyone going into freshman year, and Josh had one good friend, a handful of cousins, and his mom was a teacher at the High school we met at. I was fixing my locker, and he came over to say hi to me, with his only friend, and both of them started making fun of me telling me how small I was, and from there a friendship was born.
Wedding planning was fun and stressful. Brooke was very helpful though in organizing the process of prioritizing. Josh and I both found it exciting. One of the most exciting parts was realizing we could afford it! Challenges were finances above all else. As well as pulling back from wanting to do more even though we couldn’t afford it. It was tempting to know that it could be better with a just a little more money. Lastly, I would do it all over again. I think having a wedding celebration is important to solidify the commitment of the relationship. Whether you’re into a fairytale wedding or something different, the memories are everything!
