Henry/Rice Wedding 9/1/2019

Krystle and David's wedding was a total industrial dreamland in the heart of Ellicott City, Maryland.

These two are showstoppers, hands down. They have a style and elegance to them that they made sure was brought to every ounce of their wedding day. If there was a detail that Krystle couldn’t find, she created it herself. When it came time to choose a caterer, there was no question that David--a professional chef--would have his mentor on site to provide a beautifully delicious meal. Even the massive floods that left the city and their venue closed during their planning process didn’t sway the vision they had for their big day. Start to finish, there was no question that Krystle and David were going to have a wedding that they, their guests, and their vendors would be talking about for years!

You’ll want to take your time appreciating all the magical floral arrangements from Flor de Casa, the DIY escort table that is so unique, but still easy to create, AND the colorful pop given to David’s groom wardrobe!

With a location situated near the bustling shops of main street Ellicott City, Krystle and David put careful thought into the visuals that their guests would have upon arrival. To create a sense of separation from the foot traffic of the city, they coordinated for beige silk curtains with a pop of green leaves to be put up, and rented evergreen trees from Plants Alive to help minimize any passing noise. These elements guaranteed that when their guests entered the ceremony space, the main focus would be on the incredible moon floral arch created by Flor de Casa that was dressed in beautiful blush and ivory florals, and fresh greenery. The drapery also allowed for Krytle’s amazing walk down the aisle, which started with a reveal that they encouraged guests to pull their phones out for.

Oftentimes for weddings, standout style is only for the bride. What was so great about Krystle and David’s wedding is that they BOTH had their moments to stun. Krystle in her gorgeous Martina Liana wedding dress purchased from Garnish Boutique, and David in his blush jacket from Express with gold accessories from The Black Tux. They both put a spotlight on themselves through their fashion choices, which made sure that both of them stood out from the crowd and were celebrated equally.

Creating a romantic reception atmosphere wasn’t enough for Krystle and David, they wanted to create an experience, and no detail was too small for these two. Even the added element of a sprig of thyme carefully laid on top of the dinner menus carried an impact on giving the day it’s personality. Each element was carefully planned and, when necessary, made by Krystle. The centerpieces, table numbers, and bar menu were all handcrafted to bring the vision of the day to life. The greatest DIY of the day, though, was the interactive escort table, which was made up of gold lanterns in various heights and widths stationed on top of lazy susans. Guests could discover where they were seated by spinning the bases, and checking the hand lettered names listed on each panel of glass that were illuminated by the warmth of the pillar candles.

The celebration went well into the night with a full, bustling dance floor, the high energy of it’s own little world. The party culminated in a fiery exit where striking a pose was absolutely necessary.
