Emily and Jeff’s dreamy week-long wedding celebration was nothing short of a good time. They chose a stunning location at the Château de La Ligne to host their big event, and after a week of dinners and celebrations they finally tied the knot with a romantic outdoor ceremony.

Genuine love
From Laura Dova Weddings: The love between these two is tangible, and is a reminder of how a wedding should be – about the love and commitment shared between two beautiful people! I met Emily and Jeff about a year before the wedding day and from the very beginning you could just see the genuine love and respect they had for each other, and since then it has been a pleasure to plan their wedding week.
A wedding experience
They wanted their guests to feel loved and giving them an experience, so that was my goal to achieve. The week started with a simple dinner at the beautiful Chateau de la Ligne where they stayed for an entire week. This Château is the perfect place for a wedding in Bordeaux. The next day we organized Emily and Jeff’s bachelor/ette party. Emily decided to go for a cooking class with all her bridesmaid followed by a wine tasting in St. Emilion. Jeff and his groomsmen went for a morning golf and afternoon Cognac tasting. In the evening they met each other, and being that it was the music festival day in France – the streets were crowded and they had amazing fun feeling like real “Bordelais” people.
An emotional week
The week followed with a wine and cheese cocktail at the château and a rehearsal dinner where all the guests could take time to say a little something to the bride and groom. It was such an emotional moment and you could see the love their guests have for them. The wedding day arrived. They were like kids on Christmas eve and they could not wait to share their sincere vows and tie the knot! Being around them on their wedding day was energising and really made all of us appreciate what they had together. We all cried while they were reading their vows, the ceremony and the whole wedding was so emotional !
