Jill and Rich Mellages’ wedding took place last October at the gorgeous Barcelo Maya Palace Resort. A few days before I left for my first ever time to Cancun, Mexico, I discovered we all got bumped to the the premium resort and was super excited. Once I arrived there I could not believe my eyes, as a Brazilian, I had been to some pretty nice beaches but nothing like this. The architecture along side nature’s beauty, palm trees and the softest sand. There were about 50 people who attended the wedding and Jill let the bridesmaids pick the dress they wanted as long as was turquoise. I loved that Jill although marrying barefoot, did not go simple with her wedding dress as many do, instead opted for a halter Casablanca dress. I also loved her colorful arrangement of bouquets. They got married on the beach and the reception was by the pool area which could not have been a more perfect spot with the lighted palm trees at night. I was blessed enough to have the very talented David Toth as my second shooter and we had a blast. Here are some of my favs of their amazing wedding.
