white and pink bouquet

This beautiful springtime wedding is chock-full of DIY projects and vintage decor, all designed and coordinated to perfection by Kat Creech Events. Vintage furniture from Recollection Vintage and Swift + Co along with gorgeous florals from Dream Bouquet decorated Pecan Springs in beautiful shades of purple and blue.

As the daytime ceremony gave way to the nighttime reception, their outdoor venue lit up with antique chandeliers and lanterns along with fabulous lighting provided by Bright Star Productions. There are so many amazing details in this eclectic spring wedding! Make sure you don't miss a single one by visiting the full gallery here, all magnificently captured by Steve Lee Photography.

From Kat Creech Events:Vintage has taken on this trendy word to describes weddings of eccentric vases, soft colors, lace and a few do-it-yourself concepts. When a bride says they want a vintage style wedding, I have found what a bride really wants is the opportunity to celebrate childhood memories and experiences. They want an elegant affair, but something that is familiar. We like to call this casual elegance. We also love that we can see the sketches from Kat Creech Events before the event even happened to see how the entire event turned out.

For Darby and Bart, reflecting on those childhood experiences is something that was much more important than if we had mix-matched vases, but focused on bringing in some memories that resonated with her and her family. From old windows from Grandpa's house to reupholstered chairs and from Grandma's dollies as table accents to heirloom cake toppers, there were hidden memories throughout this wedding.

As a nod to the number of family blankets collected over the years, each guest signed a quilt square as the guest book, which would later be made into a quilt. The wedding was filled with soft florals and colors with lace accents, but more importantly the guests reminisced about childhood memories throughout the night, remembering stories once forgotten. It was a beautiful evening under the trees filled with a design of casual elegance and memories of a lifetime.

Kat Creech Events created so many DIY projects for this fabulous affair! To start, all of the containers and vessels were selected by the bride and her mom at thrift and antique stores.
The chandeliers and lanterns along with the old fashion swing were also purchased by bride and her mom. Rather than a traditional guest book Darby and Bart had all of their guests sign quilt squares that will eventually become a quilt. The dresser and purple toile chair were distressed and redone, the purple toile pillows and the tie toppers were done by the mother of the bride and the purple toile napkins were custom made, all contributing to the fabulous eclectic atmosphere of the springtime affair.

Rather than settle than one cake table, this couple provided their guests with two tables covered with all sorts of sweets! From the colorful cupcakes to custom cookies to tiny pies, there was a dessert for any and all sweet teeth!

From the Bride:I think the only thing I would have done differently is just taken a moment to take it all in. The night went by too fast and felt like a blur. My advice to future brides is to savor every second.
