With the impressive experience of event designer Mindy Weiss, this bride executed a lavish yet rustic vision of her dream wedding! Bride, Mia, picked out absolutely everything herself from dresses to aesthetic styles and the result was stunning. Over 7 years together Mia and Chad held Lake Tahoe as a special place in their hearts, so it was the ideal venue for their "I do's". The Edgewood was a stunning resort backdrop for their nuptials, celebrating the beauty of the Californian outdoors with their refined design!

Chic attire for the couple's rehearsal dinner
The couple held their rehearsal dinner at another stunning lodge, Thunderbird Lake Tahoe. They dressed in chic attire that could easily double as a reception outfit change - with Chad in a tan suit and sneaker and Mia in an adorable poof skirt mini dress. They explored the grounds with photographers John & Joseph Photography, Inc. to capture portraits on the majestic property!
The bride created her own custom Chosen By KYHA wedding dress
Bride, Mia, always knew she wanted a long sleeve, off the shoulder dress for her big day. While shopping in LA with her mom at En Blanc, she was torn between two dazzling Chosen By KHYA dresses. While she saved the "Ziva" dress for last (thinking it would be her pick), she was in love with the sleeves but not the dress. Creatively, she tried back on the "Lucia" gown which was much more her vibe and was able to have the dress customized to add the "Ziva" sleeves. Voila - her dream dress was crafted!
Mia and Chad actually grew up down the street from each other! They had crushes on each other since middle school and their feelings bloomed as their families vacationed in the same spot in Hawaii. While they went on their first date back in high school, the couple didn't become serious until after she moved back home after college. The two bumped into each other and the rest was history! Chad actually proposed to Mia in Maui where they had grown up visiting as children - these two couldn't be any sweeter.
Mismatched bridal party in a forest palette
Mia's bridal party looked so chic in mismatched attire in a range of green tones - the bride picked out all the styles herself. The palette beautifully reflected the forest colors of Tahoe!
The nature inspired colors of the bridal party paired perfectly with elegant white florals and calla lily bouquets by Cherries Design!
Breathtaking views from Lake Tahoe ceremony
The couple's stunning ceremony overlooked the pristine waters of Lake Tahoe. Their gorgeous and intimate ceremony was officiated by the bride's brother who is also best friends with her groom. With personal vows, their ceremony was "perfectly them"!
For her processional song, Mia chose "At Last" by Etta James as a heartwarming nod to her late grandmother's favorite song. As a sweet touch for the bride, her mom surprised her with a close friend singing her aisle song live - the same friend who had sung the song for her grandmother's 90th birthday!

A custom and personal cocktail hour
During cocktail hour sweet and stylish personal touches were seen throughout the space! Custom matchbook favors featured the couple's adorable dog, while elegant monogramed cocktail napkins showed off the reception color palette.
Guests were escorted to their seats by this creative and personal seating chart featuring photos of each guest in a Polaroid style! This is too cute.
Luxe rustic lodge reception
The bride actually used to intern for designer and close family friend, Mindy Weiss, so we can see how their styles and experience brought her vision perfectly to life! Luscious white florals and hanging greenery by Cherries Design brought brightness to their chic reception design. Woven table cloths and rattan chargers created a warm and rustic feel to the lodge at Edgewood, while still exuding a luxe vibe!
For the reception, Mia changed into this adorable lace mini dress and sneakers!
The gorgeous, textured wedding cake the couple chose featured fresh fruit flavors of strawberry shortcake with whipped cream and champagne cake with fresh lemon and blueberry.
