Dressed to Impress
My dress was by Katie May and I got it from the Dress Theory in Seattle. I loved how easy it felt to wear and the open back of it was definitely a twist on traditional which I loved. I let my bridesmaids pick any dress they wanted just asked that it was long and a champagne hue.
Relaxed and Intimate Wedding
We wanted the evening to feel whimsical, relaxed and intimate (despite the 300 guests). To do this we incorporated loose natural flower arrangements, whimsically illustrated stationary that I illustrated and designed myself, brought in an ice cream truck with hand-made ice cream sandwiches, and wrote our own vows
Planning Around the Venue
The Kelley Farm is nestled just a few minutes from my parent’s house and I feel lucky to have such an amazing venue so close to home. The barn itself shaped most of the inspiration for the wedding, though not a country girl by nature I wanted to dress it up a little.
Hand Crafted Decor
As a hand-letterer, I designed my own invitations, calligraphed every envelope and hand-lettered every piece of wooden decor, I took a serious DIY approach. I loved it!
