Black tie event

From
A.J. Dunlap Photography:
This wedding was a high end, black tie, country club affair. Every moment, and every detail was perfect. The bride’s dress was custom made for her and was absolutely stunning with her cathedral veil. The couple had a large wedding party, including all of their dear friends and family. The bridesmaids wore custom designed Lula Kate gowns that popped in every image against the groomsmen full tuxes.

From one bride to another

From the bride:
I actually have two pieces of advice. My biggest piece of advice to other brides and grooms is to hire a videographer. It was the best decision we made during the wedding planning process! We are so thankful that we can relive all of our favorite moments from our wedding day and watch the toasts from the rehearsal dinner anytime. We decided to hire a videographer after making many of the big wedding planning decisions but it was worth the investment!

Communication is key

A second piece of advice is to pick up the phone and talk to your vendors.  I interviewed several videographers that all had beautiful work and were highly recommended but when I got off the phone with the owner of the company we selected I knew they were the perfect fit. During the planning process, I frequently picked up the phone to ask questions to my photographer who was always so patient and kind. She was my go to resource and helped me work through so many details. Talking on the phone with my vendors helped build relationships and plan in an efficient and interactive way!

Disaster free day

Luckily we did not have any disasters affect our wedding day. I think this was part luck and part preparation. We (meaning mostly my mom who was our extraordinary wedding planner) spent time doing final planning with each vendor during the last few weeks before the wedding. I put together a contact list and schedule that was shared with all of the vendors which helped things run smoothly. Our great team of vendors worked hard so that we had a perfect day!
