Intimate Oregon Waterfall Wedding: A Love Story

Share

Bride and groom kissing at outdoor mountain wedding

These two love birds opted out of planning a big wedding in favor of a more intimate celebration with just the two of them at Wahclella Falls in Oregon, and they couldn’t have picked a more picturesque spot for their I do’s.

The bride looked stunning in her lace BHLDN dress and floral crown, while the groom looked as dapper as can be in his dark grey suit. So believe us when we say you won’t want to miss a single moment captured by Shelley K Photography! Check out their entire day in the full gallery here.

Celebration of love

From the bride: We originally started planning a very small intimate wedding. We live in the D.C. area but realized we did not want to have it in Virginia. Our families and friends are located all over country and some across the globe. We quickly realized it was becoming stressful and less about the love we wanted to celebrate.

Outside ceremony

The two of us love to do things outdoors together and both love the mountains and sea. We knew right away we wanted our ceremony outside. We brainstormed about different options: Lake Louise in Banff, Canada; Utah, Arizona, Montana, etc. We saw pictures online of a river gorge in Oregon and it was so green!! It was beautiful.

Special day

The two of us had traveled to 21 states together before getting married so we thought it would be exciting to have our ceremony in a state we had both never been. The most important part of the wedding for me was to have a photographer to match my style and have memories to remember our special day.

Happy bride

The most important part of the wedding for my husband was that I was happy ;). I began researching Portland, Oregon photographers and checking out their portfolios. The rest is history!!
