After a love story that was sweet as a magnolia cupcake, Meredith and Josh tied the knot at the Echo Lake Aquarium in Burlington, VA this past September. Not only did the couple throw an awesome DIY bash full friends and family, they also took advantage of the WeddingMix app and HD cameras to capture the most candid, emotional moments from their big day! From the bride: We picked out my engagement ring together so I knew the engagement was coming but I didn’t know exactly when. He made me drop my bags and coat right after I got home from work one day and ushered me to our dining room table, where he had Magnolia cupcakes that spelled out “Will you marry me?” red roses, and champagne waiting.
I’m most proud of the fact that Josh and I only picked a few things we felt really strongly about and were very flexible (aka, chose less expensive/easier options) for everything else. I’m also so happy that we created all of the decor ourselves. It was frugal and totally represented what we wanted, from our succulent centerpieces to hand-drawn signs.
WeddingMix helped us capture those moments because it left the “job” of taking video up to our guests – we liked that we didn’t know what people would want to “catch” on camera!
