Boho Chic Laid-back Outdoor Wedding in Southern California

Beautiful beach wedding in San Clemente

What happens when a boho babe marries a surfer boy? They have the quintessential SoCal wedding at The Casino San Clemente, of course. No seriously, Brian and Haley are quite possibly the cutest couple ever, and you can tell that this was the happiest day of their lives!

Their laid-back day came together with gorgeous blooms, Cravory cookies, and one awesome surfboard seating chart. Oh, and how about the brides stunning Grace Love Lace dress?! It's fit for a boho queen. Read more about their day below, and find more beautiful images captured by Natalie Schutt Photography in the full gallery.

Joy-infused day

From Natalie Schutt the Photographer: Brian & Haley’s San Clemente wedding reflected their Southern California life to a T. She’s a boho babe, and he’s her surfer boy. Their lives revolve around the ocean, surfing with great friends, pretty flowers, summer-style, and joy-infused life. These are two of the most expressively in love people I have had the honor of photographing. This day not only has gorgeous details, but it has the real, deep beauty we all crave: unbelievable candids of emotion that capture the truest essence of a marriage. Haley’s Grace Loves Lace dress is to die for, as well as her great use of incorporating a shade of the color of the year for her bridesmaid dresses and reception space.

The perfect ceremony

From the bride: After bridal pictures, family pictures, and a shot of whiskey with the bridal party- it was time to actually get married. I remember turning the corner towards the aisle to get my first glance at my groom waiting for me and I was STOKED. The ceremony was perfect for us- filled with a lot of laughs and a bunch of high fives. I was told the first kiss lasted a bit long, but I honestly couldn’t tell you because I was busy kissing my husband. We ran away to the beach to watch (and take pictures with) one of the prettiest sunsets I had ever seen! Everything had been beautiful, and wonderful, and everything amazing.

soak in every moment

After our first dance to “You Shook Me All Night Long” by ACDC (yes, that was our song), we knew the night was only beginning. To preface a little, the DJ had called us a couple weeks prior to talk about the schedule and songs, etc. At the end of the conversation, he asks us, “You know your schedule has it for 3 hours of dancing?” We laughed and said, “We know, but that still won’t be enough.” The night was spent tearing up the dance floor like the night we first met on New Years Eve 3 years prior. Friends’ clothes were ripped off, my dad crowd surfed, we got lifted up in the air during our last song “Feels Like the First Time” by Foreigner. It was the biggest dance party all the while eating Cravory Cookies. We looked at each other at the end of the night ready to run out to our ever so fancy Uber, and agreed that we truly got to soak every bit of the night in.
