Ashley and Brad’s Apalachicola, Fl Wedding

Ashley and Brad decided to have their wedding in the quaint oyster town of Apalachicola, Florida.  Surrounded by friends and family, they chose a wonderful park on the bay for their nuptials and the sweetest bed and breakfast for the reception!
We began the day with Ashley and her girls getting ready at their room overlooking the Apalachicola River with the shrimp and oyster boats lining the shores. Ashley looked like a princess as she waited in the room for her fiance Brad to arrive. His first glance of his radiant bride-to-be on the simple porch overlooking the river brought tears of joy to his eyes. I have to say it was one of the most touching moments I have ever had the joy to witness. You could absolutely feel the love and respect this couple was feeling for each other. After giving them a few minutes of private time, it was time for family photos and then the big event! Everyone was so happy for them and wonderful to work with. We had a blast despite temperatures rising in the triple digits.
Ashley went back to her room to refresh and ride to the wedding in a super cool vintage car. Since there were only two weddings in town that weekend, folks leaned out the doors of their homes and shops to shout congratulations as she passed. It was almost like riding through town with a celebrity! Ashley was met and escorted down the aisle by her father who gazed at her so lovingly through tears of joy.
After the wedding Ashley, Brad and I went and had some fun shooting at various areas in town. I just love the shrimp boat shot and then the wonderful romantic mood the old buildings gave as they leaned up against them to kiss.
The reception was nothing short of amazing. The bed and breakfast was set up like a fairy tail complete with the beautiful live oaks and fun dancing tent. As the evening wore down we were sad to leave, but happy that we were able to document such a wonderful day!
