A Music of the Night wedding for Two Orchestra Players

Share

romantic bride and groom wedding kiss

When you meet your one true love while playing in an orchestra together, your wedding is just begging to have a certain theme. This highly romantic Colorado wedding pays subtle homage to both music and their love of the Opera, so it’s not too far off to say this music of the night wedding for these two orchestra players will secretly possess you.

No the Phantom of the Opera did not make an appearance, but the dramatic style and glamorous details of the day made it impossible to banish him too far from our thoughts. Keep scrolling to see more and be sure to check out the full gallery which is furnished with tons more photos thanks to Sarah Perez Photography!

From the bride: Ryan and I first met while playing in an orchestra together, so we wanted to weave some musical elements into our special day. Rather than a traditional guest book, we had our guests sign a violin with black and gold paint, creating a really unique and treasured keepsake. Our florist went above and beyond by surprising us with a beautiful display of music notes decorated with the lyrics to our song. Ryan and I also spent months searching for vintage opera posters and sheet music to use as our table centerpieces.

All of the details came together perfectly to create the classic and elegant day we imagined. Even after an entire day of rain and hail, the weather cleared up just in time for our evening outdoor ceremony. It was such a beautiful and special day with our closest friends and family!

We had planned an outdoor ceremony, which is always a risky move in Colorado! It rained and hailed the entire day, so we had some family members run out to purchase large umbrellas in hopes of still getting a few outdoor photos. Fortunately the sun came out about an hour before our evening ceremony, so we quickly reset the ceremony outside and went back to Plan A. In the end it’s all about staying flexible!

Our caterer packed us a basket of food to take with us, which was amazing to snack on once we got to the hotel after the reception. If you don’t have a caterer who arranges this service, ask a family member or bridal party member to help pack some of the leftover food to go.
