Romain and Larissa met on a winter’s night in the south of France. These two love birds come from two different cultures yet, sharing a common love for the ocean (Romain’s Brittany Atlantic Coast and Larissa’s Pacific), a spark was instantly lit and 5 years later in San Juan Capistrano they shared vows in front of their closest family and friends at The Villa San Juan Capistrano.
Romain and Larissa’s vision for their wedding day was to create a French/Californian ambiance, tying in the best of both worlds: a mix of warm magenta and cool ocean turquoises, bouganvilla, sea succulents, antique aqua votive candles, classic vineyard chairs, Chantilly lace, pearls and feathers, chocolate mousse and cupcakes, Francoise Hardy and Al Green… the parting gift was a mix of sea salt from the Brittany salt marshes and rosemary from Larissa’s parents’ garden. The Villa San Juan Capistrano was the ideal place for Romain and Larissa’s French and Californian Inspired Wedding. Nestled in the old Spanish town of San Juan Capistrano, lies a turn-of-the-century home covered in ivy. A mahogany door, complete with a detailed metal door knocker, awaits the arrival of welcomed guests. Step inside The Villa and feel the essence of time flourish around you and your loved ones as you invite them into a historic building, filled with fine antiques flown in from around the world. A beautiful stone courtyard sets the stage for a romantic wedding ceremony and reception, all shaded by ancient fruit trees, and enhanced by flickering gas lanterns throughout the property.
