If you’re looking for infuse your wedding with something extra special, then you have to see this! Alec and Nikki’s cannabis-infused RL wedding styled by Le Festin Events is quite possibly as unique + beautiful as they get.
The small town of Harmony, California was the base for this unique day, which took place on 4/20 at 4:20 pm. Their wedding was anything but stressful and featured fun adult-only details like a canna lounge and canna-infused cocktails. Uhm, so where was our invite again? Keep scrolling to see all the HIGHlights + BUDget breakdown below 😉, and grab a closer look in the full gallery captured by Kiel Rucker Photography.
From Le Festin Events: Between the small towns of Cambria and Cayucos, is a much smaller Town of Harmony, inhabited by a whopping 18 residents. It is the perfect little haven for couples who want to get away and create something special for their wedding. In this case, a wedding with the incorporation of cannabis. Alec and Nikki Roach (yes, that’s really their last name) are bud and breakfast owners in San Diego, California, so when they learned that we (Town of Harmony and Le Festin Events) wanted to create and give away a canna-infused wedding, they jumped at the opportunity.
The wedding was a mix of bohemian and rustic, with touches of cannabis in just the right places. We also made sure that it felt like a nice family get-together and brought in food service and live music to give a cozy reception. Nikki’s favorite shade of blue was incorporated into linens and florals, and we also added Heavenly Bamboo into the centerpieces and personal flowers because Alec popped the question to Nikki in the middle of a bamboo forest in Japan.
We made sure to abide by all the legalities of recreational cannabis and created a special canna lounge where the shared consumption of cannabis by participating adult guests. Guests were attended to by budtenders and dabaristas who were incredibly helpful answering any questions regarding consumption. We also offered the most delicious canna cocktails for guests who wanted to try the new concoctions. Because guest fun and safety are important, especially for those who may want to partake without previous experience, we employed the limited use of “Tokin’ Tokens” which guests used to redeem either a toke or a drink.
Like all weddings, of course, there were also guests who did not participate in the canna lounge, so we certainly made sure they had plenty of food, beer, wine, and entertainment. We also had a wonderful beer and wine bartender outside of the canna lounge with a lovely sign reminding guests to be careful if they decide to crossfade. At the end of the evening, everyone went back to their respective lodgings via shuttle.
Although the cake was infused, it was packed away immediately after cake cutting and given to the couple to enjoy at their leisure, after the wedding. We did not want to incorporate edibles during the reception as we knew that guests may have already consumed alcohol or cannabis, or both, and edibles are really a bit if a guessing game when it “hits” a person. No foods were infused with cannabis during dinner and dessert, but we did make sure that guests went home with their personalized “munchies bags” complete with all things fun and stoney, like chips, chocolates, red-eye relief, Chapstick, an infused cookie, and a rolled joint. It was one of the most relaxed, light-hearted and incredibly fun weddings we have created.
