Event Planning & Design: Passe Design

Our mission with the styled shoot was to showcase how you can still execute a beautiful wedding while also being eco-conscious. Weddings, in general, are fairly wasteful and with modern brides looking for ways to be more sustainable we wanted to showcase how to plan a wedding in a fun and greenway. All of the vendors were selected for their attention to detail and their awareness for the planet. While planning this shoot we knew we wanted to utilize vendors who had the same mindset of being zero waste. From the furnishings, flowers, and cocktails our intention was clear throughout the shoot- be eco-conscious. When planning a green wedding it’s important to find a planner who knows which vendors can offer you with the style you want without compromising on being wasteful.

Bartender: Bitters & Bombs

For this shoot, we wanted to showcase some of Florida’s fantastic new craft distillers with modern takes on some of our favorite classic cocktails. Alongside these local spirit offerings, we utilized some of the freshest produce in the state, most grown right here in the Central Florida region.

Cocktail hour featured Blackberry Mojitos, made with Big 5 Silver Rum from New Port Richey.

His cocktail was called the Florida Stag, made with Florida Organic Strawberries and featured Old St. Pete Whiskey.

Her cocktail, the Summer Sunset, was made with Jacksonville’s new Manifest Barrel-Aged Gin, Peychaud Bitters, a hint of anise, and big beautiful lemon peel.

For the dessert pairing, we featured Banyan Reserve Vodka from St. Petersburg in the Sweet Orange Blossom, which also used oranges grown right here in Florida.

Bakery: Honey + Clover

A pastry spread provided by Honey + Clover sat upon a gauzy white table runner and embossed antique platters. European influence complimented by Florida’s beloved citrus married together in tarts, petit cakes, and madeleines. In the center, a two-tiered textured cake adorned with dried citrus, local bee pollen, and handpicked greenery.

Rentals: Ocean Hawks Rentals

Ocean Hawks rentals styled and furnished these earth-friendly sets with their collection of handmade and recycled pieces, from up-cycled Italian wine crates to antique furniture, wine barrels, and handmade farm wood furniture. Each set incorporated natural elements. The ceremony featured their handmade 9ft wood triangle arch with walnut benches created from recycled slabs of wood.

For the lounge area, the focal point was an antique green sofa originally from Ukraine, passed down for generations. All the upholstered pieces featured are original antiques full of character and lightly refurbished to maintain their vintage look.

The dining and dessert display was styled on Ocean Hawks’ handmade farm wood table paired with hand-dyed fabric runners flowing on each end to create an organic look. The bar vignette featured two recycled wine barrels along with a farm wood tabletop and wooden A-frame shelf custom built as a bar back.

Floral Design: Gather & Grace Designs

The inspiration for this shoot was creating a beautiful look of natural textures with jewel-tone colored floral. All the floral was grown from local farms and paired with dried natural elements of pampas grass, protea, bunny tails, and accents of other dried floral! When you buy your wedding floral from locally grown farms, you are helping the local economy flourish and reduce the environmental impact. When flowers are shipped across the world, it can have an effect on the freshness of the floral and be a great cost to the environment. The real dried floral had been collected and added to the arrangements to create fuller designs. The fresh floral added softness to the arrangements and once they wilt, the dried flowers can be removed and used again.
