Strong and Beautiful: The Empowerment Of Women
As children, we learn of marriage through countless stories and fables across every culture. The strong and steadfast groom; the gorgeous and innocent bride. A theme runs deep, setting a tone that has defined traditional marriage roles for hundreds of years, if not more.
However, cultures evolve and norms do shift, and in today’s world, women are rightfully gaining strength and command in almost every aspect of society, staging the foothold of a cultural revolution that will be defined by equal share in the world for us and our children to come.
In this way, we wanted this wedding styled shoot to personify the evolution of our culture in a way that celebrates both the beauty and the power of women.
Coastside Couture designed and planned a jaw-dropping event at The Holly Farm Wedding Venue at Carmel-By-The-Sea. Bloom Ink + Paper Co.o put together some elegant paper goods for the invitations and hand drew on textured paper.
Our couple were radiant in their attire, with the bride wearing a Badgley Mischka gown and groom wearing a suite provided by Epiphany Bridal Boutique. Carly Wise with I See Wise did a natural hair and makeup look to accent the bride’s already natural beauty while also doing a handsome hair style on the groom.
For the ceremony site, Laughin’ Gal Floral created a stunning, floral installation using the natural elements at the ceremony site.
The signature drinks were an old fashioned for the groom and a mojito for the bride. A unique seating chart was hand written and placed for guests to see.
Coastside Couture created a stunning dining table experience using Standard Party Rentals to create a romantic setting for an intimate dinner.
A uniquely designed cake by Edith Meyer Wedding Cakes was created to make the feel and design of the event.
