Elopement to Courchevel

This project was born out of a desire for snowy inspiration:

Ben Blanc
(photographer) contacted me a few months ago because he had a project in mind: a photoshoot in the snow. We were used to working on very minimalist projects for which all we needed was a couple, a dress designer (Mademoiselle Rêve Mariage) and flowers (Botanic Bazaar). And it was enough!

That all changed after this unexpected meeting! Our projects were turned upside down, I was put in touch with an estate agent who rents the most luxurious chalets in Courchevel. It wasn’t until that moment, we had not seen the same projects at all. We’ve now seen big things!
A list of several chalets, one more sumptuous than the others, had been sent to me, all I had to do was choose. I picked the brightest to correspond with the “fine art” universe that we had in mind. Once the cottage was found, I hurried to find the following:

1. Decor Rentals (I chose Joli Bazaar: dishes of the Varennes Castle in Burgundy, for her pronounced passion for beautiful things and beautiful details. In addition, they had a wide selection of elegant and refined dishes in line with our project)

2. A wedding cake to arrange gracefully on the table (I chose Petra Cakes Design for her talent as a high-end cake designer)

3. A ring box from England for flatlay (For this choice I turned to Je Promis which has the same editorial line as us: fine art)

4. Sophisticated stationery, clean and with a strong taste for elegant and quality graphics (so I chose Crème de Papier which offered us a perfect graphic of the place we chose: White Dream).

5. Elegant and refined table linen (“La maison Potamine” for her talent as a dyer and seamstress). Maud Cotillot, does everything by hand in his workshop in Burgundy. She’s a talent enthusiast!

6. Fine and delicate jewelry (L’atelier de Sylvie for her perfect mastery in creating handmade and custom jewelry)

7. A hairdresser and make-up artist specializing in soft, elegant and delicate make-up: Lauren Maquillage Délicat.

Who This Couple Is

We worked with a real couple and imagined our story about a couple already married in their home country wishing to celebrate their union again with their family, in the privacy of Courchevel. So, they decide to get together to consider an “elopement”.

An elopement in the snow. A gentle, peaceful and calm elopement where you can hear the wind through the branches of the snowy fir trees. This strong, sincere and romantic love was in a magical and frill-free world. Elegant, refined and romantic, this is the cause of their elopement.

Table Decor

The flatlay and table have been designed so that we immerse ourselves in a magical and wintery atmosphere. Blue is the symbolic color of a wedding, is a tradition from England: “Something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue.” This tradition subsequently spread beyond the borders of England, notably to the United States and then France. The blue object evokes fidelity within the couple and represents the purity of feelings. It is the guarantor of a union on love and respect between the two partners.

Besides, I wanted this color code to be consistent with the new 2020 Pantone: “Classic Blue”. So, we worked on a blue cameo through the pastel and then a slightly brighter blue (thanks to the tulips and other decorative elements: candles, silk ribbons…).
What could be better than blue as a color to immerse yourself in a winter world?
