romantic summer day of romance

From the Bride: Our Glendalough photoshoot was one of the most memorable experiences, and as it often happens with many of the best things in life, it was spontaneous. Our wedding had actually happended 3 months prior to the shoot, and although those special moments and feelings any newlyweds experience on their wedding day were still very fresh in the memory, when Katerina Agronik, a brilliant chef and our close friend, asked if we would be interested in a photo shoot with Anastasia, I jumped at the chance to feel the magic of being a ‘bride’ again!

Katya suggested that Glendalough would be a magnificent location for the shoot: a mystic, druidic atmosphere of a valley between two lakes, at the center of which stands an ancient monastery.. Glendalough, with its varied landscape of an ancient celtic forest, rolling green meadows, crystal clear lakes and burbling streams, is surrounded on all sides by the stunning Wicklow Mountains. The place resonated with us so much, I couldn’t have dreamt of a more peaceful and charming place for me and Ben to embrace our own romantic moments and connect with Nature and the special breed of true Irish magic, which permiates everything on this evergreen island.

The whole day went by in a blur for us, though I’m sure there was plenty of forethought on Katerina and Anastasia’s part. From the incredible one of a kind wedding cake, designed and made by Katerina to represent the rich magic shades of the valley, kissed by the setting sun, and the exquisite macaron, lightly brushed by gold fairy dust. To the gorgeous hand-made head-pieces and the absolutely out-of-this-world dress, brought from the Netherlands by Anastasia.
