The Inspiration

Langhe is one of the most charming region in northern Italy, with its sequence of seemingly never-ending hills covered with vineyards. Here, ancient traditions are still alive. In these hills, life revolves around wine, and the flow of time is guarded in the cellars where the wine gets old and so precious. When the summer heat slowly gives way to the crisp autumn air, colors get warmer, with nature painted the same color as wine, and the light turns golden. This atmosphere is the inspiration behind our shoot.

The Location

I knew from the beginning that Daniela, the photographer from Di Luce e D’Ombra, would be the perfect fit to accentuate the feel we wanted to inspire with our project. She loves natural light and warm colors, ancient things and romantic memories and I think her soulful photos truly captured the look and the atmosphere of a Langhe wedding in the fall. The Venue, La Garomba, provided a wonderful setting with its historical country house’s refined aesthetic. The Orangerie, the intimate Italian garden, the woods surrounding the property.

The Bride

When Daniela and I visited the Villa for the first time, we had no doubt about its charm. So we imagined our Bride during different moments of the reception, moving through the venue with every dress change, styled by the talented designer Ela Siromascenko

The Dresses

The first dress is an ivory organza corset wedding gown, perfect for the bride who wants to feel like a true princess on her wedding day.

Changing into the second gown, our Bride can make a truly impressive entrance to the reception with this opulent ivory strapless tulle wedding gown that features a corset bodice covered in beaded lace appliqués.

The final dress is a beaded lace princess wedding dress, a great match for an elegant wedding while still keeping that ethereal vibe with its chapel train tulle skirt.

The Bridal Style

Luciana Lapique Makeup Artist created an elegant and timeless look and made sure that every dress was complemented by a different hairstyle, decorated with her handmade headpieces. The bride’s look is completed with an old-fashioned engagement ring, featuring an oval-cut sapphire and diamonds, handmade By Ricci Giampietro Gioielli in Valenza, the city of gold.

The Flowers

The flower design by La Bottega di Davide Fiorentino brought together the inspiration and accentuated that botanical and romantic touch. His flower selection was inspired by a color palette that reflected the warm colors of the landscape. The bouquet was loose, a little messy, just like nature intended.

The Table

For the antique wooden table, he created a flower chandelier that complemented perfectly the table setting decorated with a soft deep red organza runner and colored glass bottles. The same elements can be found in the seating chart, inspired by the names of the wines this region is rightfully famous for.

Every detail and piece of decor, from the golden accents to the rich colors of the flowers, has been carefully chosen to tell the story of our romantic autumn in Langhe. Following the shoot’s atmosphere, calligraphy elements and hand-painted watercolor details decorate the Stationary, from the menus to the place cards and the invitations.
