We are over here ooh-ing and aahhh-ing at how sophisticated yet cozy this color palette is for this real wedding. Bridesmaids look killer in their dresses and a faux fur jacket is always a good idea for the Bride. Be prepared to fall in love with the idea of ice cream for your dessert because that is some next level yummy that would totally complete the reception! Not to mention how fun this party looks, the band must have been jamming all night!

COZY JEWEL TONES
The beautiful season of fall – an amazing time to gather bold and vibrant hues together to make a big impact. Myriam loved jewel tones and wanted to include this palette through her wedding design – rich turquoise, emerald, purple, raspberry red, orange, and stunning gold highlights. These color crushing hues made the perfect impact within the intimate, inviting space of The Great Hall.
The couple wanted the reception space to feel just like them – inviting, relaxed, and cozy – while still having a party! Wedding planner, Renata De Thomasis of RDT Events + Beauty, is also Myriam’s makeup artist! Herself alongside Bridal Hair Couture By Katie created the most glam look for Myriam.
DECOR
Renata designed the most romantic reception space alongside Blush & Bloom -they strung 20 foot long garlands across the top mezzanine, that dipped just low enough to create an enchanting “tunnel” over the entire dancefloor, where guests danced all night to live tunes from the Dwayne Gretzky Band.
We hung tealights from each strand to give a twinkle effect. Our wedding was a cocktail-reception style which allowed for a very relaxed vibe. Fresh food stations from the delicious Victor Dries kept guests satisfied. A lover of details, Myriam infused as many personal touches as she could – her favorite board games in the cocktail room, being French-Canadian, every piece of stationery was bilingual, the guestbook was a French-English dictionary where guests selected a word that best described the couple, and wrote a short note next to it. A sweet ending to the new beginning was Monsieur Wilson’s ice cream cart for guests to enjoy!
