In the midst of an epic Tahoe winter, our group of vendors escaped to downtown Reno to create a dark and moody shoot in a 1930s-era former Main U.S. Post Office. Inspiration was drawn from a very classic and elegant theme of black and white which was very fitting for the industrial style building with art deco accents.

Miss Hayley Paige‘s Markle dress was the perfect fit to compliment this whimsical bouquet complete with anemones and hand-tied black silk ribbon from Honey Silk Co. The ring was a gorgeous pear cut diamond from Susie Saltzman with a capulet band that created a classic but modern ring set perfect for the bride that wants to break outside of the box a little bit. Our bride was stunning with a neutral makeup scheme from Dori Ann Designs with a knockout dark lipstick to give this look a daring edge.

The Decor

For our tablescape, the romantic Mariah linen from La Tavola Fine Linens draped perfectly over an industrial style wood table from Celebrations Party Rentals and created a romantic canvas to begin layering black tapered candles, stoneware plates and gold-rimmed glasses creating this amazing table setup. The hand-lettered menus and escort cards and velvet napkins were the final touches that created this complete look. Creeping vines outlined the ceremony site which was re-purposed into the background for their sweetheart table.

At the conclusion of this shoot, the bride and groom escaped up to the old post office to sneak some photos in this gorgeous natural light with a background from the 1930’s. At the end, they made their farewell exit with a romantic session in the elevator that left us blushing.
