With its mix of artificial and natural beauty, Villa Balbiano is one of the most glamorous wedding locations on Lake Como. The basic idea for this shoot was to create the setting for a small, intimate wedding celebration with a real couple. Elopements are especially popular right now and serve as an inspiration for many couples. In this shoot captured by Vivid Symphony, we wanted to show a relaxed, luxurious life, full of joy.

Our beautiful bride started her day with a relaxing bath in her suite in Villa Balbiano. She spoiled herself with a luxurious bridal gown made of pure silk chiffon by Girl And A Serious Dream and enjoyed the getting ready time before the couple’s intimate wedding ceremony on the shores of Lake Como.
Her bridal look created by make up artist Annet Anders looks effortless and elegant at the same time. It is topped off by a breathtaking romantic shoulder free lace dress from Willow by Watters and bridal lace boots by Bella Belle Shoes.
Their emotional first look took place on the lakefront with an amazing mountain view. The intimate wedding ceremony took place on the villa’s pier. The heads of the columns were adorned with lush floral decorations. Curved flowering branches, that seem to meet in the middle, form a natural wedding arch. How romantic is it when the bridal couple arrives by boat at the villa’s pier beautifully decorated with such an amazing flower arrangement? After their boat trip, they received their guests and celebrated their beautiful day together at the villa’s magical winter garden.
The colors that we have chosen for this shoot you can find in the villa itself: warm terracotta tones, soft cream, delicate rose, and smoky blue. Playful floral candelabras, luxurious tableware by Vista Alegre, elegant cutlery and romantic flower decoration fit harmoniously into the playful baroque style of the location created by Magnolias On Silk.
To show how differently baroque style elements can be arranged together and also to interpret them in a modern and new way, we have developed two different decoration variants. Both variants have one in common: They take up the dynamics typical of the Baroque by including the symmetrical structure and curved shapes and, in combination with the selected colors, they easily fit into the environment. The elegant Louis XVI chairs by Latini Design complement the decoration design just perfectly.
Our flatlays created by Marry & Lilo have been decorated with many unique details, including an original antique Italian postcard of the villa and a beautiful Florentine tray from Bellagio. Marry & Lilo made a styling mat made of golden velvet especially for the shoot.
