Say Yes To The Revamped Dress

From Jane Alexandra Events: This Styled Anniversary Session was inspired by a revamped Vintage Wedding Dress that was originally worn by Arielle's mother in 1980. Arielle loved the way the dress turned out so much that she wanted to wear it again for a 1 year anniversary session with their Wedding Photographer, Katrina Jayne. When Katrina saw the dress she too felt overwhelmed with inspiration and asked Arielle if she could turn the session into a styled shoot.

Inspired by the dress we decided that the style of the shoot should be Vintage/Modern. We definitely wanted to add our own twist on the extremely popular wedding theme so we decided to go with bright vibrant colors that would really pop!

Cookies, Cake & A Cart To Die For

Nineteen27 Vintage has this amazing couch with bright mix matched buttons that seemed as if it was made for this shoot and their gold bar cart fit perfectly with our vintage/modern theme. Kelsey with Darlingtonia Designs created the most unbelievable garland that turned the bar cart into a work of art and the matching bouquet was so unique and colorful filled with pepper tree fern, peonies, hellebores, hawthorn, and english roses!
Arielle and Phil had their original cake topper from their wedding! It has been sitting in the freezer for the past year and still looked incredible. One of their close friends handmade the cake for them which made it even more special. The hand painted Macaroons were done by the talented Katherine (owner of Katherine's Sweets) which were almost too pretty to eat.. almost..

Fresh Faced & Fashion Forward

We wanted Arielle to have a fresh, classic face and her hair to have a modern twist on a classic updo. Amanda Rae really bought that vision to life and Arielle looked absolutely stunning!
Arielle is no stranger to fashion. She runs her own fashion blog (Relish By Arielle) so we knew we could count on her to handle her own accessories. The Oscar De La Renta Veil was originally intended for her to wear on their wedding day but she ended up going with another option so this was the perfect chance for her to wear it!
